"A Bold Mirror to Society": Director Gunasekhar Celebrates Euphoria’s Digital Premiere on ETV Win
Following its critically acclaimed theatrical run and two prestigious Gaddar Awards from the Telangana Government, director Gunasekhar’s hard-hitting drama Euphoria is set to make a "massive noise" in the digital space. The film, starring Bhumika Chawla and Sara Arjun in lead roles, officially begins streaming on the ETV Win OTT platform on April 2, 2026.
To mark the occasion, the makers held a "Pre-Streaming Celebration" in Hyderabad, where Gunasekhar reflected on his journey and the challenges of bringing "bold" content to the screen.
A Homecoming to the Roots
For Gunasekhar, the association with the ETV family is deeply personal. He began his career as an assistant director at the legendary Ramoji Rao’s Usha Kiran Movies.
"My foundation was laid by Ramoji Rao garu. His standards and vision for socially relevant cinema like Mayuri and Mouna Poratam were my primary inspirations for Euphoria," Gunasekhar shared. "It feels like a homecoming to have this film streaming on ETV Win. I am proud that the government recognized our efforts with awards for Best Story (Gunasekhar) and Best Supporting Actress (Bhumika Chawla)."
Redefining "Bold" Content
The director took a moment to clarify the industry's perception of "bold" cinema. He revealed that several mainstream OTT platforms hesitated to pick up the film because they found the subject "too shocking."
