Following the massive success of projects like Little Hearts and Eesha, the powerhouse production duo of Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati is back with a riotous comedy titled Hey Balwanth (formerly Hey Bhagavan). Produced by B. Narendra Reddy under Trishul Visionary Studios and directed by Gopi Achara, the film features Suhas, Shivani Nagaram, and veteran actor Naresh in pivotal roles.
With the film slated for a February 20 release, heroine Shivani Nagaram shared her excitement and experiences during a media interaction on Monday.
A Shift from Intensity to Pure Fun
Marking her second collaboration with Suhas, Shivani noted that this project is a complete departure from their previous work.
"Our last outing was very intense, but Hey Balwanth is a breezy, lighthearted entertainer," Shivani shared. "My character is a mix of innocence and comedy. While the film is a laugh riot throughout, the emotional bond between the father and son in the climax will surely touch the audience."
The Secret to Her Success
When asked about a potential hat-trick of hits, the actress expressed high confidence in the film’s "surprise" interval bang and the comedic timing of the ensemble cast, including Vennela Kishore and Sudarshan.

On Selecting Roles: Shivani emphasizes quality over quantity. "I don’t want to do a hundred films; even if I only do five, they should be memorable stories."
-
On Background & Stardom: "Coming from a non-filmy background, I value the audience's respect. Even if a star hero offers a film, the script and my character's importance remain my top priorities."
A Multi-Talented Journey
Beyond her acting prowess, Shivani is a trained Kuchipudi dancer and a talented singer. Having already lent her voice to tracks in Aarambham and Little Hearts, she remains open to playback singing opportunities in the future.
The Rise of Telugu Actresses
Shivani expressed her happiness regarding the evolving landscape of the industry. "Telugu girls are finally getting the opportunities they deserve. With more writers and directors focusing on local talent, the distinction between 'big' and 'small' films is fading. Content is king now."
Future Outlook
With the success of her previous films on OTT platforms, Shivani is now receiving offers from across the South. She revealed that she is currently in discussions for two Tamil and two Telugu projects, continuing her streak of picking content-driven cinema.
