Veteran actor Dr. Rajasekhar, back in action after a hiatus, suffered a severe right ankle injury on November 25 during a high-impact sequence for his upcoming film in Medchal. The incident resulted in a bimalleolar dislocation with compound fracture, requiring immediate medical attention and complex surgical repair.

The three-hour procedure successfully addressed the damage through open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF): K-wires stabilized the lateral malleolus, cannulated cancellous screws and a semi-tubular plate fixed the medial malleolus, and a trans-fixation wire secured the tibia via the calcaneum and talus. Rajasekhar endured significant pain but is now recovering steadily.

Medical advice mandates 3-4 weeks of strict rest with the leg immobilized, sidelining him from shoots until at least January 2026. This setback echoes a similar left-leg injury he sustained on November 15, 1989, during Magadu, underscoring his commitment to demanding stunts.

The affected project is Biker, alongside two untitled films whose schedules face delays. Fans and industry peers are rallying with prayers for his full recovery.
