Well, here’s an amazing piece of news. The nominations for the 95th Academy Awards have just been announced and RRR has indeed been nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu.This song also won the Golden Globe recently in the same category.
Naatu Naatu will now compete against four more nominated songs. These are Applause from Tell It Like A Woman, Lift Me Up from Black Panther:
Wakanda Forever, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick and This Is A Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once.
There are already Indian-made documentaries which are making to the final list of Oscars - All That Breathes won nomination in the Best Documentary Feature Film category while The Elephant Whisperers is competing for Best Documentary Short. India's official entry for the Oscars, Chhello Show has not been nominated in the final list for the Best International Feature Film category.
