Siddhu Jonnalagadda Vows 'Emotional War' in 'Telusu Kada': "My Varun Character Generates Psychological Violence Without Shedding Blood"
The pre-release event for the highly anticipated musical romantic entertainer, 'Telusu Kada,' was held in Hyderabad, generating immense excitement ahead of its grand release on October 17th. Produced by People Media Factory (following the success of Mirai), the film stars Star Boy Siddhu Jonnalagadda alongside heroines Srinidhi Shetty and Raashii Khanna, and marks the directorial debut of stylist-turned-filmmaker Neeraja Kona.
Addressing the crowd, hero Siddhu Jonnalagadda made a bold promise about his character, Varun:
"It’s a very interesting character. I’m sad to say goodbye to Varun, as I have been living in the mind of this strange man for a year. In this film, the character Varun will generate emotional war and psychological violence without shedding a single drop of blood. That is my promise."
A Radical Character and New Genre
Siddhu emphasized the film’s novelty and the strength of the characterizations:
-
Varun's Impact: "The Varun character creates a whole experience. He looks normal, but his thoughts are very radical. He takes a wild turn about 23 minutes into the film, which I am confident will shock the audience."
-
Originality: "This is an original film. You will see 80% new scenes; the discussions about love, marriage, and family relationships are treated freshly. This is a very new film, and I feel that after its release, it will establish its own genre."
-
Life Advice: In true Varun style, Siddhu shared advice with the young men in the audience: "If a girl breaks your heart and leaves, let her go. If you chase her, you will lose your self-respect. Let the pain come. The real story begins there, and that is when a man like Varun emerges from within you. Your emotions must be under your control."
Heroines Praise Siddhu’s Passion
Both leading ladies spoke highly of the script and their co-star's dedication.
Srinidhi Shetty (who plays Raaga) called 'Telusu Kada' a "very special film," adding: "Siddhu Garu’s journey is an inspiration, and he is a wonderful co-star. I look forward to doing more films with him."
Raashii Khanna (who plays Anjali) expressed her deep connection to the project:
"This film is very close to my heart. Siddhu is mad about cinema; I have never seen a co-star with such passion. After watching this movie, you will forget Tillu. My character, Anjali, will deliver a crazy surprise in a scene in the second half."
Director Neeraja Kona thanked the producers and acknowledged Siddhu's central role: "Siddhu is the backbone of this film. Both Srinidhi and Raashii are the pillars of this project, and their performances were brilliant."
The team, including producers T.G. Viswa Prasad and Krithi Prasad, Cinematographer Gnana Sekhar (praised for "stunning visuals"), and Music Director Thaman (whose album and BGM are a "big asset"), expressed confidence that 'Telusu Kada' will be the perfect Diwali entertainer when it releases on October 17th.
