Disney's highly anticipated sci-fi film Tron: Ares is set for a major theatrical release on October 10, 2025, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. With artificial intelligence at the heart of its story, lead actor Jared Leto believes the film’s arrival is perfectly timed amid today’s intense global conversations about AI. At the film's London premiere, Leto remarked that although the project began nearly a decade ago when AI was a niche topic, its relevance has now surged—"everybody's talking about it and using it, knowingly or unknowingly," he said.

Joining Leto, co-star Jodie Turner-Smith noted how the urgency and complexity of AI issues became sharper even during the film's production. She reflected, “We don't have the answers for AI's place in the world yet, but our movie lives inside the question. We want people to think about AI ethics and how we might ensure technology remains human-centered—used for good rather than harm.” Turner-Smith also highlighted the character Julian Dillinger, portrayed by Evan Peters, as a cautionary example of how ethics matter when wielding powerful technology.

Tron: Ares—the third installment in the Tron franchise—features an impressive cast including Jared Leto, Jodie Turner-Smith, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, and Jeff Bridges returning to his iconic role. The story follows Ares, a sophisticated program sent into the real world, navigating humanity’s first encounter with AI beings and the ethical dilemmas it poses.

The film is directed by Joachim Rønning, with music composed by Grammy®-winning rock band Nine Inch Nails, adding to the futuristic energy. Tron: Ares promises not only spectacular visuals and action but also a timely reflection on AI’s role in today’s world, offering more questions than answers but encouraging audiences everywhere to join the conversation.
