King of Entertainment Sree Vishnu is poised to entertain audiences once again with his latest project titled Comrade Kalyan, an action-comedy presented by Kona Venkat and directed by Janakiram Marella under the Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP banner, produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati.
Set in 1992 in Madugula, a village on the Andhra-Odisha border, the film's teaser introduces a gripping plot centered around the government’s crackdown on Naxalites. The authorities, including the Greyhound forces, are in pursuit of the notorious Naxalite leader named Comrade Kalyan. An intriguing twist in the promo reveals the protagonist himself pasting a wanted poster with a ₹5 lakh reward, adding a quirky and clever touch.
While the film’s core is rooted in a tense political and police chase narrative, it incorporates abundant humour, romance, and quirky characters, making it a refreshing entertainer. Sree Vishnu will be seen portraying dual avatars, with his rugged and impactful look as Comrade Kalyan expected to leave a strong impression on the audience.
The stellar cast also includes Mahima Nambiar as the female lead, with pivotal roles played by Radhika Sarathkumar, Shine Tom Chacko, and Upendra Limaye.
