The next chapter in Indian superhero storytelling is taking shape with Adhira, a grand-scale saga uniting Prasanth Varma—renowned for pushing boundaries in Telugu cinema and creator of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU)—with RKD Studios, helmed by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal.
Following the trailblazing success of HanuMan, Prasanth Varma and RKD Studios partner once again for this high-concept spectacle. Kalyan Dasari makes a powerful debut as the titular superhero, facing off against acclaimed actor S. J. Suryah, who embodies a menacing, horned antagonist with a fierce tribal look. The film is being directed by Sharan Koppisetty, continuing the tradition of uniquely stylized and interconnected PVCU stories.
Set against a dramatic backdrop—complete with a volcanic eruption and apocalyptic skies—the first-look poster teases an epic, larger-than-life confrontation between good and evil. The visuals—crafted by cinematographer Shivendra—are set to dazzle, while music composer Sri Charan Pakala amps up the energy with a pulsating score, and Sri Nagendra Tangala delivers on production design.
Rooted in the spirit of Indian mythology but brimming with cutting-edge cinematic flair, Adhira is the next cornerstone in Prasanth Varma’s vision of a homegrown superhero universe. Here, each film stands out with distinct visual grammar while remaining linked by themes of hope, dharma, and heroism.
Filming is currently underway, and the makers have just unveiled a striking S. J. Suryah character poster, fueling anticipation for this myth-inspired, thunderous new entry in Indian superhero cinema. Additional cast and crew details are awaited as expectations build for the action, spectacle, and emotional depth that Adhira promises to deliver.
