The horror genre is something which has never been explored properly in Indian cinema. There was a time when the Ramsay Brothers created a wave in Bollywood with their set of movies. After that, it was only the eccentric Ram Gopal Varma who actually gave the audience a taste of true horror with his movies like 'Raat' 'Bhoot' etc.
While all this has been on, there was never an instance where an A-grade superstar has ventured into the horror genre. But now, it appears that young rebel star Prabhas might just be breaking those barriers. If reports are to be believed, among the many projects Prabhas is doing, one is with director Maruthi and this one is touted to be a horror genre.
Now, whether this is going to be an authentic horror movie with ghost elements or will it be a typical Maruthi type horror-comedy is not sure but when a heavyweight like Prabhas is in it, the deal gets real. But then, if Prabhas does manage to score a hit with this genre it is going to create a revolution of sorts and would set a new trend among the big heroes. Let us see how this is going to shape up.
