The concept director Sukumar has many successes to his credit and among them "Nannaku Prematho" and "Rangasthalam," were good hits and these films had Manly Star Jagapathi Babu in the role of antagonist. It was expected that Sukumar would bring him again in "Pushpa," but he wasn't there in the cast.
In fact, Pushpa had Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil as the main villain and the film was a smashing success. The shooting of "Pushpa 2" is reportedly happening in Vizag with icon star Allu Arjun participating in the scenes.
Now the latest news is that Jagapathi Babu will be joining the cast of "Pushpa 2" in a new avatar and this will be a completely new role and not any extension of other's roles from Pushpa's first installment. It would be interesting to see if Jagapathi Babu can deliver the same impact just like Fahadh Faasil.
