Actor Chaitanya Rao, who plays a key role in Anushka Shetty's highly anticipated action drama 'Ghaati', recently spoke to the media about his experience on the film. Directed by visionary director Krish Jagarlamudi, and produced by First Frame Entertainment's Rajeev Reddy and Saibabu Jagarlamudi, the film has already generated significant buzz and is set for a grand release on September 5th.
A Challenging and Iconic Role
When asked about his character, Chaitanya Rao revealed, "Producer Rajeev garu called me and asked me to meet Krish garu. Krish garu narrated the story, which was amazing. Then he told me about my character. I couldn't understand how he envisioned me in that role because it's a very serious and violent part. We spent almost two days trying different looks and finally settled on this one."
Chaitanya believes this is not a regular villain role. "Director Krish garu told me he doesn't see me as a villain but as a main character. My role is very crucial and memorable. I am confident it will become an iconic character in my career." He added that Krish gave him a lot of freedom and incorporated his suggestions, which helped in shaping the character perfectly.
An Extraordinary Filming Experience
Recalling the shoot, Chaitanya said, "We shot the film in the Eastern Ghats, which was very challenging. There's a waterfall sequence that was extremely risky to shoot, but it turned out to be extraordinary. Anushka garu took a huge risk for that scene, and you will be thrilled when you watch it."
Speaking about working with Anushka Shetty, he expressed his admiration, saying, "I couldn't believe it at first. I am a huge fan of hers; Chintakayala Ravi is my favorite movie, and I must have watched it 30 times. She is a very sweet person and a big lady superstar. It was a wonderful and memorable experience to work with her."
Chaitanya also praised the technical team, including cinematographer Manoj, who delivered "wonderful visuals," and music director Sagar Nagavalli, who composed "next-level music."
Looking to the Future
When asked about his future projects, Chaitanya Rao mentioned that both 'Mayasabha' and '' are like two big pillars in his career. "Directors Krish garu and Deva Katta garu both told me not to think about new films until these two are released because they will definitely be a turning point for my career. I believe they will be right."
He confirmed that he is currently working on a film with director Kranti Madhav and has a few other stories lined up. The announcements for these projects will be made soon.
