The team behind the musical romantic drama 'Meghalu Cheppina Premakatha,' starring young hero Naresh Agastya and actress Rabiya Khatoon, is all set to entertain audiences with its release on August 22nd. Directed by Vipin and produced by Uma Devi Kota under the Sunethra Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. banner, the film's teasers and songs have already heightened expectations. In a recent press meet, the producer and director shared details about the film.
A Fresh Musical Love Story
The producer Uma Devi Kota was praised for the film's title, which translates to 'The Love Story Told by the Clouds.' She responded, "Thank you. The entire film is in beautiful, pure Telugu. The audience will hear authentic Telugu in the dialogues as well. The credit for this goes to our director, who is a lover of the Telugu language and a poet."
When asked about the novelty in the love story, she explained, "You will see how one person gets inspired by another and how love blossoms. Love not only inspires but also influences, and this angle is also explored in the story."
Stellar Cast and Technical Team
She also spoke about actress Radhika's role, who plays the hero's grandmother. "She plays a great singer who has to give up singing for some reasons. The character wonderfully portrays the burden she has carried due to this. Radhika's screen presence is so divine. The character inspires the hero. I urge everyone to watch the film till the rolling credits. The scene that comes during the rolling titles will surely appeal to everyone."
Director Vipin and producer Uma Devi Kota agreed that music, visuals, and performances are the highlights of the film. "The music by Leon James is a plus point. The songs will have a lasting impact," they said. "This is the story of a hero who wants to prove himself musically. We also roped in the Prince of Travancore, whose contributions to classical music are immense. It was a pleasure to introduce such a character," the producer added.
Challenges and Future Plans
On the challenges of production, the producer said, "We didn't face any difficulties while making the film or in the post-production work. But I realized the real challenges begin when you decide to release the film."
The producer concluded by saying that her inspiration for the film came from her desire to find a director who could handle such a unique story. "I was looking for a director who could make this kind of special story, and that's when I found Vipin. After the story was ready, I only suggested one hero: Naresh Agastya. He is a great performer who even took music lessons to prepare for his role."
Looking ahead, Uma Devi Kota said, "I like films with realistic drama. I want to continue producing films with real emotions."
