The cult blockbuster “Baby” has once again proven its critical and popular appeal by clinching two prestigious awards at the 71st National Film Awards. Sai Rajesh was awarded Best Screenplay Writer for his compelling and emotionally resonant storytelling, while singer PVNS Rohit received the Best Playback Singer award for his soulful rendition of the hit track “Premisthunna.”

These national honors not only recognize the film’s creative brilliance but also celebrate its deep emotional connect with audiences. Sai Rajesh’s nuanced and heartfelt screenplay has earned widespread acclaim, now elevated by the recognition of the national jury. Similarly, PVNS Rohit’s evocative vocals in “Premisthunna” have struck a chord with listeners, adding to the film’s powerful impact.

Prior to the National Awards, “Baby” had already made waves in the industry, winning multiple accolades at prestigious platforms such as SIIMA, GAMA, and Filmfare, cementing its status as a youth favorite. Directed and scripted by Sai Rajesh, and produced by SKN under the Mass Movie Makers banner, the film stars Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in lead roles.

The film’s massive success at the box office, with a gross exceeding ₹100 crore, highlights its widespread popularity. Riding on this momentum, a Hindi remake of “Baby” is currently in pre-production, further extending the movie’s footprint.

Meanwhile, the creative team is gearing up for their next venture, “Chennai Love Story,” where Sai Rajesh will serve as both writer and producer. The film features Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya in the lead roles and is directed by Ravi Namburi, promising another engaging story ahead.
