"Sir Madam": A Feel-Good Family Entertainer Gears Up for Telugu Release – Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen Speak at Press Meet
Versatile actor Vijay Sethupathi and talented Nithya Menen star together in the much-awaited rom-com family drama ‘Sir Madam’, with the tag line "A Rugged Love Story." Directed by Pandiraj, the film is produced by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner. After becoming a massive hit in Tamil, “Sir Madam” is set for a grand Telugu release on August 1. To mark the occasion, the makers conducted a press meet celebrating the film’s success and its upcoming release.
Vijay Sethupathi expressed gratitude, saying, “Hello everyone. This film was a huge hit in Tamil and I am confident it will achieve similar success in Telugu as well. I always receive so much love and support whenever I visit Hyderabad. Thank you to all the Telugu audience. Special mention to lyricist Rambabu, who wrote beautiful Telugu songs for this film—they’re truly melodious. The story is something everyone can relate to. For this movie, I even learned how to make paratha, completing a two-month course (laughs). The director has crafted the film brilliantly. Like all my previous roles, I thoroughly enjoyed this one too. Director Pandiraj wrote the story wonderfully, and I enjoyed every moment of the shoot. Working with Nithya is always a joy—we constantly discuss the script, characters, and the story. The whole film felt like a family atmosphere on set. Please do watch it in theaters, you’ll definitely enjoy it.”
Nithya Menen shared her excitement: “Greetings to all. It’s been a while since I acted in a Telugu movie, which is why I insisted on dubbing for myself. I’m genuinely happy about this film. Vijay and I have worked together before, in a completely different movie which was quiet and subdued, while this one has more energy (smiling). Director Pandiraj is amazing—I agreed to do the film as soon as I heard the story. It’s not just a hero-heroine film, but really about family. Even off-screen, we were like a family. The camera work and music are fantastic. I watched the film along with my friend Nandini and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In Tamil, the movie became a massive hit both commercially and emotionally, and I believe the Telugu version will also be a big success. The story is very relatable, and I feel Telugu audiences will love it as much as Tamil viewers did.”
