The wait is over for music lovers! Yash Raj Films (YRF) today released "Dhun," the latest song from their much-anticipated romantic film 'Saiyaara,' reuniting the iconic musical trio of Arijit Singh, Mithoon, and Mohit Suri. This powerhouse combination, responsible for historic chartbusters like "Tum Hi Ho" from Aashiqui 2, has once again woven their magic, promising another soulful hit.
Mohit Suri shares a spectacular musical journey with Mithoon spanning over two decades. Their collaboration began in 2005 with films like Zeher and Kalyug. For 20 years, Mithoon and Mohit have consistently delivered some of the biggest film music albums of our times, including Murder 2, Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Hamari Adhuri Kahaani, Half Girlfriend, Malang, and now, Saiyaara.
Arijit Singh, widely regarded as one of India's all-time best singers, has also had a prolific partnership with Mohit Suri. Their collaborations have resulted in numerous soulful hits, from "Tum Hi Ho," "Chahun Main Ya Naa," and "Hum Mar Jayenge" from Aashiqui 2, to "Humdard" in Ek Villain, the title track of Hamari Adhuri Kahani, "Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga" in Half Girlfriend, and "Chal Ghar Chalen" in Malang. The reunion of these three talents for "Dhun" is a testament to their proven chemistry and ability to create magic.
'Saiyaara' marks the first-time collaboration between Yash Raj Films and Mohit Suri, both renowned for crafting timeless love stories. The film has already garnered unanimous praise for its intense love story and for launching debutants who share infectious chemistry and brilliant acting skills.
The film introduces Ahaan Panday as a new YRF hero, while Aneet Padda (who impressed audiences with her performance in the acclaimed series Big Girls Don’t Cry) is launched as the next YRF heroine.
'Saiyaara' is currently buzzing as one of the most anticipated young romantic films of our times. Its music album has been a major highlight, with all songs – including Jubin Nautiyal’s "Barbaad," Vishal Mishra’s "Tum Ho Toh," Sachet-Parampara’s "Humsafar," and now "Dhun" – capturing audience attention and making significant waves on Indian musical charts.
YRF, in its 50-year history, is celebrated for delivering some of India's most iconic romantic films, primarily directed by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. Mohit Suri, who is currently in his 20th year in cinema, has also helmed several beloved romantic films, including Aashiqui 2, Malang, and Ek Villain.
'Saiyaara' is produced by YRF's CEO Akshaye Widhani and is set to release in theaters worldwide on July 18, 2025.
