"Subham," the debut production from actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Tra La La Moving Pictures, is enjoying a successful run, entering its second week in theaters after its May 9th release. The film, starring Harshit Reddy, G. Srinivasan, Charan Peri, Shreya Kontham, Sravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, and Vamsidhar in key roles, and directed by Praveen Kandregula, celebrated its success at a recent meet.
Samantha on Her Production Journey and Vision
Speaking at the success meet, actress and producer Samantha reflected, "I'm now understanding how I entered this industry with a ten percent success rate. Seeing the smiles and happiness on everyone's faces who worked on 'Subham' is the real success. It's this joy that keeps producers making more and more films."
She shared a personal connection to the movie: "Watching this film reminded me of my summer holidays. I know how much my mother struggled to take us to movies. All those days when my whole family watched a movie together came back to me. It felt like it happened just yesterday. With 'Subham,' we've taken everyone back to those old days. Our goal at Tra La La is to continue making good films like this to bring families back to theaters. We'll keep reminding you of your sweet memories, and we'll work hard for it."
Samantha also spoke about the challenges of being a producer: "As an actress, I'd arrive last and leave first. When I was a heroine, I only thought about my character. But as a producer, I learned about the real struggles. For three days before the film's release, no one slept. I wanted success and credit for my team who worked so hard. All the love, affection, and praise we're receiving now are because of them. Raj and Himang are the backbone of Tra La La."

Director and Cast Share Their Experiences
Director Praveen Kandregula admitted his initial apprehension: "After giving a speech at the Vizag pre-release event, I was scared. If the film hadn't done well, I would have faced a lot of memes. I spoke that day because of my confidence in the film. The direction department leads the film from the front. No one in my team says everything is super; if there are mistakes, they tell me to my face. I learned a lot from my direction team. Abhi wrote the bond like milk and water. Production designer Ram was very supportive. He wonderfully showed the 2004 timeline. I don't know anything about costumes; Pujitha supported me in that. I can never forget cinematographer Mridul's cooperation. I was able to make this film so well only with Raj sir's support. He is very perfect in every craft. He stood behind me and led me forward. Who would watch this movie without Samantha Garu? Because of Samantha Garu, this movie reached the public. Audiences should encourage such small films. If a movie like 'Subham' succeeds, many more good films will come. Everyone is enjoying this film, which we made honestly, in theaters. A story like this has the potential to be remade in every language. Samantha Garu should continue to produce many more good films like this. Samantha Garu should continue to support new talent through the Tra La La banner."
Actor Vamsidhar shared: "I worked on 'Subham' for only three or four days, but I gained full positivity. I've been promoting this movie like a hero. I'm very happy to be a part of such a good film. Because of Samantha Garu, this movie reached this level."
