Hits and misses are common in every industry and it is part of life to be honest. In the film industry it is not a normal thing and it decides the fate of many. One hit can make many wonders and one flop can push someone into oblivion. The one who can stand the test of success or failure is always admired and will stand as a role model for many. In this regard, ace director SS Rajamouli deserves a special mention.
Having started off as a TV director for the serial Shanti Nivasam, the director had said that earning 2000 rupees per month was very tough for him in those challenging times. Step by step, he has come to a stage where the entire India is proud of him. While his ventures Bahubali 1 and Bahubali 2 took him to glorious heights, his recent offering 'RRR' won the golden globes award and a couple of other prestigious awards for his film on the Hollywood platform.
He is now one of India's highly coveted and highly paid directors and it may take years for someone to even get his appointment. The recent news of his commitment levels has definitely earned more respect for this humble man. There has been a lot of speculation about when he would begin his next film which is expected to be with Mahesh Babu.
The high budget action flick will be produced by KL Narayana of Durga Arts. In fact, the once prestigious production house has stayed away from the film business after 2006. They produced some of the best movies in the 90s and sources say that a decade ago, Rajamouli had promised that he would make a film for them one day.
Now, this latest flick is all set to hit floors soon and it would mark the combination of Mahesh and Rajamouli after 'Khaleja'. Despite Hollywood filmmakers evincing interest to work with him, Rajamouli has kept his word and is all set to make this film for Durga Arts banner, and many industry observers hope that this could set the stage for the revival of this once-golden banner.
