Global icon Ram Charan has achieved a unique distinction, becoming the first Indian film star to be immortalized in wax alongside his cherished pet, Rhyme, at the prestigious Madame Tussauds London. This rare honor places him in an exclusive club, marking him as the only celebrity after the late Queen Elizabeth II to be featured with their animal companion at the renowned museum.

The unveiling ceremony, a deeply personal and emotional affair, took place privately in London, attended by Ram Charan’s family and close associates. While initial plans considered postponing the announcement due to recent events, the gradual return to normalcy prompted the family to share this special moment with the world.

Ram Charan’s wax figure is a striking representation, dressed in the elegant black velvet bandhgala he famously wore to the 2023 Academy Awards – the historic night when "Naatu Naatu" clinched the Oscar for Best Original Song, a first for Indian cinema. The statue not only commemorates this monumental achievement in global filmmaking but also beautifully captures the profound connection between a man and his beloved dog.

A particularly touching moment during the unveiling was the visible emotion of Ram Charan’s father, highlighting the personal significance of this milestone for the entire family. Chiranjeevi Garu, speaking as a proud father, was joined by Ram’s mother, Surekha, at the event.

This installation serves as a tribute to Ram Charan's immense stardom and enduring legacy, as well as the special bond he shares with his pet. It sets a new precedent not only for Indian representation on a global stage but also for acknowledging the significant role our animal companions play in our lives.

Fans and visitors in London can view this unique statue until May 19th, after which it will be moved to Madame Tussauds Singapore for public exhibition.
