"Coming to Telugu with 'Bhairavam' is a Dream Come True Moment. I Played a Bold and Honest Character. The Film Will Definitely Entertain Everyone": Heroine Aditi Shankar
"Bhairavam," the most awaited action thriller starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Manoj Manchu, and Nara Rohith, is directed by Vijay Kanakamedala and produced by K.K. Radhamohan under the Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner. The film is presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios. Aditi Shankar, Anandhi, and Divya Pillai are the heroines in this movie. The promotional content released so far has created a massive buzz around the film. "Bhairavam" is set to release in theaters on May 30th as one of the biggest summer attractions. On this occasion, heroine Aditi Shankar shared details about the film at a press meet.
How did you get into this project?
-Director Vijay saw my debut film in Tamil. He felt that I would be a perfect fit for the character in "Bhairavam." He called me and told me about the project. That's how I got on board.
This is your first Telugu film, right? What kind of challenges did you face?
-Initially, I thought there would be a language barrier. However, our director and writer Satya helped me a lot. With their help, this journey went very smoothly.
How will your character be in this movie?
-I will be seen in a bold and honest character who is also bubbly at the same time. This is quite close to my original personality.
-I used to come to Ramoji Film City and other parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for my father's shootings. Now, coming here to shoot for my own film is a dream come true moment. I have always wanted to work in Telugu. I am very happy to be introduced to the Telugu audience with such a good film.
What kind of films do you like to do?
-I will definitely do a film if the story and my character in it are good.
Your father is the biggest director in India, right? What kind of challenges do you face to prove yourself as a heroine?
-Really, this is a nice challenge. I consider my father's image as respect, but I never take it as pressure.
This is a multi-starrer film, right? How was your journey with the three heroes?
-It was a really very fun experience. I know Manoj Garu. He saw me on set and asked what I was doing there. Then I told him I was acting in this movie. That was a really fun moment. I met Sai Garu for the first time during the song shoot. He is a very down-to-earth person. Rohit Garu is also a very nice person. All three of them know how to speak Tamil. So, this journey was very comfortable. All three of them performed wonderfully.
What about the music?
-Sri Charan has given amazing music. The songs that have already been released have received a fantastic response. Another song is also coming soon, and that song is also going to be very wonderful. I love dancing. There are two dancing numbers in this, and both of them are my very favorites.
Do you watch Telugu movies? What is your favorite movie?
-Yes, I do. My favorite movie is "Magadheera" because it was the first Telugu movie I watched in a theater. That's how I became a big fan of Rajamouli Garu and Ram Charan Garu.
Does your father listen to the stories you are doing?
-No, sir. My father doesn't know anything about the films I am doing or their stories. I tell my mother everything. My father is busy with his films. He also doesn't share any details about his films. He takes care of his film like a newborn baby.
Does your father watch your movies?
-He has no other option. If he doesn't watch my movies, I will fight with him (laughs).
What about the producer?
-Radhamohan Garu used to come to the set every day. He used to enjoy the shooting a lot. He is a very nice person.
What about director Vijay Kanakamedala?
-He is a director with very good clarity. He creates a very good atmosphere on set. He knows how to extract the kind of performance he wants from the artists. He is a director with a clear vision.
Do you have any dream roles?
-I want to do historical and period films. I also want to do challenging women characters.
