Following the resounding success of "Sivarapalli," actor Rag Mayur is experiencing a surge in exciting new projects! His recent special appearance in Samantha Ruth Prabhu's production "Subham," helmed by Praveen Kandregula, is already earning him praise. "I wanted to express my gratitude to Samantha garu and Parveen garu for this wonderful opportunity," says Rag Mayur. "My character, Maridesh Babu, feels like a natural progression from my work in 'Cinema Bandi.' I was drawn to the character's unique charm and the humorous twist he brings to the story – it was a role I simply couldn't pass up. I'm thrilled with the positive response to my character and even more delighted that the film has become a major success."
Up next for Rag Mayur is a full-fledged role in director Praveen Kandregula's third film, "Paradha," where he will be seen opposite the talented Anupama Parameswaran. "It's a substantial role, and the way my character is crafted and integrated into the narrative promises to be quite interesting," he shares, hinting that the film will be a fresh social drama poised to deliver a distinctive and memorable cinematic journey.
Adding to his busy schedule, Rag Mayur is currently filming a buddy comedy backed by the prestigious GA2 banner. He also has "Garividi Lakshmi" under the renowned People Media Factory, a project that is progressing rapidly. This film is based on the inspiring life story of the iconic Burra Katha artist Garividi Lakshmi from the North Andhra region. "What's truly exciting is that all the characters I'm currently portraying are distinctly different from one another," Rag Mayur remarks. "These roles are providing me with a fantastic platform to explore different facets of acting and showcase versatility.
