Nandamuri Balakrishna is set to make a significant appearance in Nelson Dilipkumar's upcoming film, 'Jailer 2', starring Rajinikanth. Industry reports indicate that Sun Pictures, the film's production company, has agreed to a considerable payment for the actor's involvement in a limited shooting schedule.

According to sources, Balakrishna has allocated approximately 20 days for his role in 'Jailer 2'. He is said to have requested a remuneration of ₹50 crore for this period, a figure the producers reportedly accepted without hesitation. The sequel is also expected to feature Shiva Rajkumar, reprising his cameo from the original 2023 'Jailer', which was highly acclaimed.

Earlier reports confirmed Balakrishna's participation, with an insider revealing that he was drawn to the role presented by director Nelson. The role is described as a pivotal guest appearance, designed to be impactful and satisfying for the actor and his fans.

Rajinikanth and Ramya Krishnan are set to return as 'Tiger' Muthuvel Pandian and his wife, Vijaya, respectively. Mirnaa Menon, Yogi Babu, and Shiva Rajkumar are also expected to reprise their roles. The original film also featured a cameo by Mohanlal, and it remains to be seen if he will return for the sequel.

Director Nelson Dilipkumar had previously mentioned his interest in casting Balakrishna in the first 'Jailer' film, but stated that he couldn't find a suitable place for him in the script at that time. He expressed optimism about Balakrishna's potential involvement in 'Jailer 2', suggesting that a role he has in mind would be a powerful addition to the film.
