Suriya's New Film with Venky Atluri Announced Under Sithara Entertainments
Kollywood star Suriya's upcoming film "Retro," directed by Karthik Subbaraj and starring Pooja Hegde as the female lead, held its grand pre-release event on Saturday evening at the JRC Convention in Hyderabad. The film is produced by Suriya and Jyothika's 2D Entertainment and is set for a massive worldwide release on May 1st. Notably, leading Telugu production house Sithara Entertainments is distributing the film in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Prominent actor Vijay Deverakonda graced the event as the chief guest.
Chief guest Vijay Deverakonda began by offering condolences to the victims of the Pahalgam tragedy. He then expressed his happiness at attending the event to support Suriya's film. "I fell in love with Suriya after watching 'Ghajini'," Vijay shared. "I wondered who this actor was who performed so brilliantly. I then watched all his films. 'Suriya S/o Krishnan' is a movie that deeply touched my heart. The 'Chanchala' song moved me to tears and remains a cherished memory. Seeing Suriya on screen, I was always amazed by his physique, acting, and dancing. I always wished to meet him at least once in my life, and sharing the stage with him now is an unforgettable moment. As an actor, I admire Suriya a lot. His choice of films inspires other actors. He works in diverse genres. I hope 'Retro' becomes another huge success for him. Through his Agaram Foundation, Suriya is supporting many students. Inspired by him, I also want to help students. I hope everyone watches and enjoys 'Retro,' releasing on May 1st."
