"Chaurya Paatham" Has Excellent Output Quality, Watch It in Theaters for a Great Cinematic Experience": "Dhamaka" Maker Trinadha Rao Nakkina
Blockbuster director Trinadha Rao Nakkina is venturing into film production with his upcoming crime-comedy drama "Chaurya Paatham." He is introducing the young and talented Indra Ram as the hero. Nikhil Gollamari, who worked as an associate director for films like "Karthikeya 2" with Chandoo Mondeti, is making his directorial debut with this movie. Produced under the Nakkina Narratives banner with V Choodamani as the co-producer, the film's teaser and trailer have already created buzz with their thrilling crime and dark humor blend. The songs have become super hits. Set to be one of the biggest attractions of the summer, "Chaurya Paatham" is hitting theaters on April 25th. On this occasion, the film's producer Trinadha Rao Nakkina shared details about the movie in a press meet.
What aspects of this story attracted you to produce this film?
"Karthik Ghattamaneni's father worked in the police department. During his service, a peculiar theft case occurred. When Karthik told me about that incident, it sounded very interesting. I asked Karthik to make it into a film, and he agreed. That's how this movie happened. We didn't take the case as it was; we took inspiration from it and made it completely cinematic."
Hiest movies usually have a high budget, right?
"Yes. Making heist movies is more expensive than regular films. Our budget increased by about ten percent than what we initially planned. This is the first film coming from our company. We made it with good quality without compromising anywhere. Moreover, when you have a DOP like Karthik, there are many technical additions. The output quality of the film is excellent."
Tell us about the hero, Indra Ram?
"Indra Ram is a new guy. Initially, I was a bit scared. We did workshops. Even after going on sets, there was a slight fear. However, after two days, he caught the character and performed wonderfully. Not just him, everyone in this film has given a very good performance. You won't see the actors in this; they have completely immersed themselves in their characters so naturally."
What about director Nikhil?
"I saw Nikhil during the shooting of 'Karthikeya.' He works very actively. When we were thinking about who should direct this film, Karthik suggested Nikhil's name. We needed a director with a visual sense for this movie. Nikhil has that imagination. He shaped the film exactly how I envisioned it. We finished the film healthily. The movie will be very mature. The concept will entertain everyone."
What was the reason for you to get into production?
"Creating a platform for newcomers is my dream. It has been there for a long time. It's like giving a stage to a generation. I am not focused on earning money. I got into production with the good intention of providing opportunities to new talent."
Will there be a moral lesson for the thieves in "Chaurya Paatham"?
"Not for the thieves, but there will be a lesson for those who want to commit theft (laughs)."
Tell us about Rajeev Kanakala's character?
"His is a good character. Nikhil designed it very uniquely. Similarly, Salim Pheku's character will also entertain."
What about the music?
"I showed this film to some producers, directors, and distributors. The only person everyone praised was the music director. He did an amazing BGM. The songs have become good hits."
What about the heroine, Payal Radhakrishna?
"This is a heist film. It needed a special look, and the nativity shouldn't be missed. Payal perfectly fit this character. She did very well."
Your recent comments on theaters went viral. What was the reason for those comments?
"I didn't make those comments to go viral. I said it so that the truth would be known. In fact, I requested the audience to come to theaters and asked them to continue the theater culture. But they left that out and highlighted the earlier words."
What are the reasons for the audience reducing their visits to theaters?
"There are many reasons. We need to make films very carefully. We need to focus more on making films that bring the audience to theaters."
What are your upcoming directorial ventures?
"I have films to do with Mythri Movie Makers, Dil Raju Garu, and AK Entertainments."
