Following the recent tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, while the nation grieved and expressed outrage, some individuals on social media began targeting Muslim figures in the film industry with baseless accusations of Pakistani links.

One such person targeted was Imanvi Ismail, a newcomer set to debut in Prabhas' upcoming film, tentatively titled "Fauji," directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. Numerous online users falsely asserted that she was Pakistani and demanded her removal from the film.

After enduring a day of online hate and trolling, Imanvi Ismail responded with a heartfelt message on Instagram. She began by expressing her deep sorrow for the victims of the Pahalgam attack, describing the violence as devastating and unequivocally condemning it. She emphasized that her aim as an artist has always been to promote love and positivity, not hatred.

Imanvi then directly addressed the false claims about her origins. She clearly stated that she is not Pakistani and that neither she nor anyone in her family has any connection to the Pakistani military. She explained that these rumors were fabricated by online trolls with the intent to spread animosity and were regrettably amplified by some media outlets without proper verification.

She further clarified that she is a proud Indian-American, born in Los Angeles. Her parents immigrated legally and subsequently became U.S. citizens. Imanvi speaks Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, and English and has always felt a strong connection to Indian culture. After completing her education, she pursued a career in dance and acting and feels fortunate to now be working in the Indian film industry, which has been a source of inspiration since her childhood.

Imanvi expressed her hope to use her platform to foster unity rather than division. She believes that art should serve as a tool for bringing people together, promoting healing, and fostering understanding, particularly during times of pain and loss.

Following her post, a wave of support poured in from fans and well-wishers. This incident serves as a crucial reminder for everyone to verify information before reacting online and to refrain from judging individuals based on their name or background.
