Naveen Chandra, known for his compelling performances in both Telugu and Tamil cinema, is gearing up for the theatrical release of "28°C," an emotional thriller directed by Dr. Anil Vishwanath. Produced by Sai Abhishek under Veeranjaneya Productions, the film stars Shalini Vadnikatti alongside Naveen Chandra and hits screens on April 4th. In a recent interview, Naveen Chandra shared insights into the film's unique journey.
"This film has been six years in the making," Naveen Chandra revealed. "The concept, a love story intertwined with a medical thriller, immediately captivated me. It's about a couple navigating life with the heroine's rare temperature-sensitive condition." He expressed confidence in director Anil Vishwanath's vision from the start.
The film's production faced challenges, including location hurdles in Georgia. "We encountered rejections, but local media attention ultimately secured our shooting permissions," Naveen Chandra explained.
"28°C" delves into the emotional depth of a couple facing extraordinary circumstances. "The medical accuracy is crucial, given the director's background as a doctor," Naveen Chandra emphasized. "It's a blend of love and thriller, a unique cinematic experience."
He openly discussed the film's initial struggles to find distribution, attributing it to his past film performances and the lack of market for love thriller at that time. "We faced rejections and suggestions for changes," he said. "But producer Sai Abhishek and director Anil Vishwanath were determined for a theatrical release." With the support of Vamsi Nandipati, the film found its path to theaters.
Naveen Chandra expressed strong confidence in the film's potential to resonate with audiences across theatrical, TV, and OTT platforms. He also talked about the industry's shift towards thrillers and action films, emphasizing his commitment to balancing artistic integrity with career growth.
He highlighted "Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava" as a turning point in his career and discussed his upcoming projects, including "Mass Jathara," "Game Changer," "11 Elevem," and the second season of the popular web series "Inspector Rishi."
