Sonali Sood, the wife of actor Sonu Sood, sustained injuries in a significant car accident on the Mumbai-Nagpur highway late Monday night. Reports indicate Sonali, her sister, and her nephew were involved in the crash. Her nephew, who was driving, also suffered injuries.
The incident has led to Sonali and her nephew being admitted to Max Hospital in Nagpur, where they are currently receiving treatment. Sonu Sood immediately traveled to Nagpur to be with his wife.
A spokesperson for Sonu Sood confirmed the accident to Hindustan Times, stating, "Yes, Sonali has met with an accident. Sonu is currently unavailable."
Hospital officials have confirmed that both Sonali and her nephew are under observation and will require medical care for the next 48-72 hours. Sonali’s sister sustained minor injuries.
Sonu Sood has not yet released an official statement.
Sonali Sood generally maintains a private life, while Sonu Sood is widely recognized for his philanthropic work. They married in 1996 and have two sons. Sonali, a film producer with an MBA from Nagpur University, prefers to keep her personal life out of the public eye.
