Director Gunasekhar, who has a fascination for historical and mythological films, recently released his movie "Sakunthalam" starring Samantha in the lead role. In the promotions of the film, Gunasekhar made some interesting comments about Allu Arjun.
He previously directed a movie with Allu Arjun 'Varudu' which did not do well at the box office, but out of respect for the director, Allu Arjun did a role in Gunasekhar's film "Rudramadevi" which turned out to be a commercial success due to Allu Arjun's performance.
Gunasekhar praised Allu Arjun's acting skills and mentioned that if he gets the right role, he can do it well. Gunasekhar even expressed his interest in working with Allu Arjun again if given the chance.
However, it remains to be seen if Allu Arjun is willing to work with him again. Currently, Allu Arjun is busy with his upcoming film "Pushpa 2" and has several other projects lined up. Other directors such as Koratala Siva, Vetrimaran, and Sandeep Vanga are also reportedly in talks with Allu Arjun for future collaborations. Moreover, with the talk going on in a negative way about Sakunthalam, many feel that Gunasekhar is now being clubbed into the list of outdated directors.
