After flops like World Famous Lover and Liger, Vijay Devarakonda is eager to bounce back and gain his position back in Telugu film industry. However, for now luck doesn't seem to be that favourable.

Despite the hype and euphoria among audiences, one needs a proper and sustained success rate to be in the minds of the audience forever and any break in between can change everything. After the massive disaster in the form of Liger, Vijay left Puri's other project Jana Gana Mana. He is working with directors who recently worked with Nani.
In this regard, he has teamed up with director Siva Nirvana for Khushi in which he will be romancing Samantha. Siva's film with Nani 'Tuck Jagdish' failed and now he is gearing up to prove his worth through Vijay Deverakonda. The film shooting started many months ago and has reportedly been half completed.
Samantha's illness has proved to be bane as she went into treatment mode for her rare skin condition. After being treated for a while, Samantha has come out again and she took part in the recent grand teaser release of her film 'Saakuntalam' directed by Guna Shekar. After the release of this film, Siva Nirvana is all set to restart the shooting of 'Khushi' from March first week and he also has clearly communicated to Samantha to be available for the schedule.
In case she is unable to, the director seems to be planning to go ahead with the shooting of an interesting script okayed by a Mega family hero, and even the dates of the hero are reportedly free for shooting. Hence, now unless Samantha attends the shoot, it would be a year minus Vijay's film at theatres, which is definitely a red flag for his career.
