Multifaceted Shweta Prasad Receives Bismillah Khan Award
Shweta Prasad, a versatile talent known for her distinctive singing style in successful films like Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata," has been honored with the prestigious Bismillah Khan Award. A renowned veena artist with performances spanning national and international stages, Shweta Prasad has been recognized for her contributions to Carnatic music.
She was recently awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for the year 2022-23 at a ceremony in New Delhi. Cultural Secretary Uma Nanduri and Sangeet Natak Akademi Vice Chairman Sandhya presented the award to Shweta Prasad.
Expressing her gratitude, Shweta Prasad shared that such recognition inspires artists to further refine their talents. She also conveyed her happiness at being chosen for the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar.
