The Archery Association of India (AAI) officially announced on Thursday that global icon Ram Charan has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the inaugural Archery Premier League (APL). The league is set to take place at the Yamuna Sports Complex in New Delhi from October 2nd to 12th.
About the Archery Premier League
The APL will be India's first franchise-based archery league, bringing together top male and female compound and recurve archers from India and various other countries. According to the organizers, the league aims to give Indian archery international recognition and further the Olympic movement in the country. The APL will feature 36 of India's top archers and 12 international archers competing across six franchises. The archers will compete in a dynamic format under floodlights, promising a unique and exciting experience.
Ram Charan's Statement
Ram Charan spoke about his connection to the sport. "I have a bond with archery because the sport demands discipline, focus, and resilience," he said. "I am proud to be associated with the Archery Premier League. It will not only provide a global platform for Indian archers but also give them a chance to shine in the global spotlight. I am ready to inspire future athletes."
