The prestigious Gulf Academy Movie Awards (GAMA) are set to return with their 5th edition, promising an even more spectacular event than before. Following four successful editions in Dubai, the upcoming ceremony will be held on August 30th at the Expo Centre in Sharjah, Dubai. The event's curtain-raiser, held in Hyderabad, brought together key figures from the film industry, including GAMA CEO Saurabh Kesari, jury members A. Kodandarami Reddy and B. Gopal, and actors Faria Abdullah, Manasa Varanasi, Daksha Nagarkar, and Viva Harsha. Vaibhav Jewellers is serving as the title sponsor for this grand event.
Awards as a "Multivitamin" for Artists
Speaking at the event, GAMA CEO Saurabh Kesari emphasized that the awards are a tribute to artists, driven by his father Trimurthulu's passion for cinema. "This isn't a commercial event," he stated, "We are organizing these awards out of my father's love for the arts. We are moving forward with everyone's support and plan to make the awards even bigger next year. We are also preparing to hold GAMA Awards in other countries." He added that the event is being organized to impress not only the Telugu community in Dubai but Telugu people worldwide.
Legendary director A. Kodandarami Reddy, a member of the jury, likened awards to "multivitamin tablets" for artists. "They encourage everyone," he said. Director B. Gopal echoed this sentiment, praising the grand scale of the event organized by GAMA Chairman Trimurthulu and Saurabh Kesari.

The GAMA 5th edition is set to be a star-studded affair with a mix of established stars and rising talent.
