The recent terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam has deeply saddened actress Nabha Natesh, who holds cherished memories of filming in the picturesque region of Kashmir. Expressing her profound sorrow, she vehemently condemned such acts of violence against innocent people and extended her heartfelt solidarity to the victims and their families.
Nabha fondly recalled her time shooting for the film Darling in Pahalgam, describing it as an "enchanting and delightful" location. "Pahalgam is a beautiful place," she shared, "We filmed in locations spread over 5 kilometers, all of them stunning. It is a heinous act to carry out a terrorist attack in such a heavenly place." The news of the attack brought back a flood of memories from her time on location.
Reflecting on the stark contrast between the beauty she experienced and the violence that occurred, Nabha stated, "I remember Pahalgam as a place of serenity and tranquility, but to see a beautiful place like that being filled with bloodshed is hard to digest." She specifically reminisced about filming her first solo song for the movie, which portrayed her character as an independent traveler exploring the country. This shoot took the film unit to Kashmir, where they spent about a week filming in Pahalgam and other scenic spots. "The place is like heaven on earth," she remarked.
Nabha also highlighted the warmth and hospitality of the local people. She recounted how many locals visited the film sets and warmly interacted with the crew. "They were speaking Kashmiri, and I was trying to understand," she smiled. She further added, "Localities were trying to facilitate the tourists like us because they said that their chief income resource is from tourism." Nabha fondly remembered her director encouraging her to interact with the local children, capturing candid moments. "Just being surrounded by beautiful people, mountains, and picturesque locations is mystical," she concluded, her words underscoring the tragedy of violence disrupting such a serene and welcoming place.
