Sharwanand’s "Beast Mode" Unleashed: Rugged First Look of Period Actioner ‘Bhogi’ Revealed; Sets August 28 Release

In a dramatic departure from his "Charming Star" persona, Sharwanand has stunned fans with the first-look reveal of his upcoming pan-India epic, Bhogi. Directed by action specialist Sampath Nandi, this period drama is being mounted on a massive scale by producer KK Radhamohan under the Sri Sathya Sai Arts banner.

Accompanying the fierce poster, the makers officially locked the theatrical arrival for August 28, 2026, coinciding with the festive occasion of Raksha Bandhan.

A Radical Transformation: The "Blood Fest" Begins

The first-look poster of Bhogi introduces Sharwanand in a state of raw, unbridled ferocity. Ditching his polished look, the actor has undergone a complete reinvention:

  • The Look: Featuring a dense, unkempt beard, a thick mustache, and wild curly hair, Sharwanand embodies a battle-hardened warrior.

  • The Imagery: The poster depicts him seated behind a massive, cloth-wrapped machete. The dark, atmospheric background—filled with drifting embers and smoke—perfectly mirrors the film’s brutal tagline: “A Blood Fest.”

  • The Vibe: This "beast mode" transformation signals a high-octane shift into the mass action genre, promising a side of the actor never seen before in his career.

A 1960s Borderland Saga

Director Sampath Nandi has set the narrative in the late 1960s, specifically along the volatile North Telangana–Maharashtra border. The story is expected to delve into the rugged culture and high-stakes conflicts of that era.

The production is currently in full swing in Hyderabad, where a massive set has been erected for a pivotal action schedule. Renowned stunt director Dilip Subbarayan is currently choreographing two large-scale combat sequences that are expected to be the film's highlights.

Cast and Technical Powerhouse

  • Leading Ladies: Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi join the cast in significant roles.

  • Music: Blockbuster composer Bheems Ceciroleo is scoring the soundtrack, bringing his signature rooted and energetic style.

  • Cinematography: Kishore Kumar Arokia captures the gritty, vintage aesthetic.

  • Production Design: Kiran Kumar Manne is overseeing the intricate period detailing.

Grand Pan-India Rollout

Bhogi is gearing up for a simultaneous five-language release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. By choosing the Raksha Bandhan weekend, the makers are eyeing a massive holiday opening across the country.
