Mega Power Star Ram Charan is set to roar on the big screen with Peddi, a rustic rural action entertainer directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film has already sparked massive buzz, thanks to impactful first-look posters, a striking First Shot Glimpse, and the chart-ruling first single Chikiri Chikiri, which has gone viral worldwide for Ram Charan’s signature grace and electrifying screen presence. Backed by producer Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, Peddi is mounted on a grand scale with a hefty budget, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor as the leading lady.
A fresh shooting schedule begins tomorrow in Hyderabad, where the team will film several crucial portions, with select key scenes also planned in Delhi. The unit aims to complete the entire talkie part by the end of January, after which post-production will shift into an even higher gear, keeping all departments aligned with the target release plan. The production is said to be moving smoothly, ensuring that timelines are met without compromising on scale or quality.
Adding further weight to Peddi’s ensemble is Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar in a pivotal role, alongside seasoned performers Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu Sharma in significant supporting characters. Their presence is expected to deepen the dramatic impact and broaden the film’s appeal across regions.
On the technical front, Peddi brings together a stellar crew: Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman is crafting the film’s music, while top cinematographer R Rathnavelu is in charge of the visuals. National Award–winning editor Navin Nooli handles the cut, and Avinash Kolla is designing an immersive world through detailed production design. With such a powerhouse team, the movie is poised to offer a rich theatrical experience.
Positioned as a pan-India outing, Peddi is slated for a grand theatrical release on March 27, 2026, aiming to capitalize on Ram Charan’s nationwide fanbase and the film’s high-octane, mass-appeal narrative.
