Raju Weds Rambai, releasing on November 21, 2025, is a Telugu romantic drama that deeply connects audiences to village life through a heartfelt love story. Headlined by Akhil Uddemari and Tejaswini Rao, the film also features experienced actors such as Shivaji Raja, Chaitu Jonnalagadda, Anita Chowdary, and Kavitha Srirangam, who add depth and authenticity to the narrative. Produced by Venu Udugula and Rahul Mopidevi under Dolamukhi Subaltern Films and Monsoons Tales, and presented by ETV Win Originals, the film is both written and directed by Saailu Kampati, who brings a grounded and realistic approach to the screenplay.

The story unfolds in a rural setting where Raju (Akhil Uddemari), who leads a band melam, falls in love with Rambai (Tejaswini Rao), a village girl. Their joyous romance captures the entire village's attention. However, Rambai's father, a government hospital employee, opposes their union. What follows is a potent narrative exploring his opposition and how it affects the couple's fate, culminating in a gripping and surprising climax.

Akhil delivers a standout performance, embodying the persona of a typical countryside youth. Tejaswini impresses with her innocent and heartfelt portrayal. Shivaji Raja delivers a commanding and memorable performance. The film boasts natural and realistic cinematography by Wajid Baig, while Suresh Bobbili’s music and background score enrich the emotional depth, complementing the straightforward yet compelling screenplay. The production values and fresh direction by Saailu Kampati add to the film's appeal.

Highlights include powerful performances, particularly from the lead actors and the Heroine father’s role, a strong background score, and a naturally captured rural setting. While the screenplay could have been more engaging, especially in the pre-climax, the film shines in delivering a hard-hitting love story inspired by real events, reminiscent of honor killing incidents reported in the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

Raju Weds Rambai is a must-watch for both youth and parents, offering a poignant and relevant tale of love and societal challenges.
