As it marks a decade for the formation of the separate statehood of Telangana, it also marks Hyderabad being the joint capital. And now, from June 2, Hyderabad ceases to exist as a joint capital and will remain as a capital city only for the state of Telangana.
In its tenure, the YSRCP focused on decentralisation and making three different capitals for executive, judiciary and legislative in Visakhapatnam, Kurnool and Amravati respectively. The state of Andhra has concluded polls on May 13 and the results are awaited for June 4 2024.
