Congress Party leader Rahul Gandhi who is touring the US and attending public gatherings has declared that following the success in the Karnataka election, his party will annihilate the BJP in the Telangana and other state elections, stressing that not only the Congress party but also the people of India will beat the BJP's hate-filled ideology.
“We've proven in Karnataka that we can completely destroy the BJP. We devastated them, not defeated them,” stated Gandhi during an event hosted by the Indian Overseas Congress-USA.
In the Karnataka elections, he claimed, the BJP used every strategy in the book. “They had access to the entire media, ten times as much money as we had, the government, and the agency. They had everything before we wiped them out. And I want you to know that we are going to decimate them in Telangana next."
“After this election, it will be difficult to locate the BJP in Telangana,” he asserted. Later this year, elections are slated to take place in the state of southern India.
He continued by saying that the reason for this was that India has realised it could not continue to tolerate the kind of racial hatred being fostered by the BJP. “You respect other religions. You respect other cultures. You respect other people, you respect women. And that is the best way to fight the BJP, to live according to the ideology that we believe in, he said, adding that the fight is not difficult,” concluded the Congress leader.
