The election results are going to arrive on June 4. On the one hand, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are saying that the NDA will cross the 400-seat mark. Shah went to the extent of predicting that the 400-mark will be crossed by 12:30 pm on the results day.
On the other hand, the likes of Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav say that the NDA is going to be trounced. They have claimed that BJP will win just one seat in Uttar Pradesh and the rest 79 will go to INDI Alliance.
Interestingly, several social media handles with pro-Congress bias have also been appearing extremely confident that INDI Alliance will be the stunning victor of the season.
The online buzz among BJP supporters is that Congress pretty well knows that its defeat is going to be resounding. They know the ground reports. Congress has done decently well only in Karnataka among BJP strongholds. NCP and Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena might snatch ten seats from the NDA but it won't be a landslide in Maharashtra. In Bihar, too, the NDA is expected to win 30 out of 40 seats in the worst case scenario.
As per BJP supporters, Congress is planning to launch country-wide protests on the results day by blaming EVMs and mass rigging. "The Congress ecosystem has had plans to seek judicial intervention. Its leaders will move the Supreme Court after the results in an attempt to delay Modi's swearing-in ceremony. The Congress will be defeated in the court, too. However, it will have succeeded in planting seeds of suspicion in the minds of many neutral sections and its loyal voter base about the legitimacy of BJP's victory," a Netizen noted.
