Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy read out the manifesto of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) from 2014 General elections and flayed Chandrababu Naidu for failing to fulfil the assurances they made during the regime. He was addressing the public meeting in Madanapalle of Annamaya district on Tuesday April 2, 2024.
Criticising Chandrababu Naidu for failed assurances, Reddy said, “Naidu assured that he would first sign on waving off farmers loans and self help groups after coming to power. Further assured that he would make Andhra Pradesh like a Singapore and make every city a Hi-tech city. None of them were fulfilled. Now he is assuring that he will give one kg gold and a benz car. No one in Andhra is ready to believe him.”
Linking Naidu to the character Pasupathi from the movie ‘Arundhati’, Jagan said, “Chandrababu is a Pusupupathi who emerged after five years to seek power and grab CM's chair to suck the blood of the poor." Jagan accused Naidu of repeatedly trying to fool the public with false assurances.
