The United Arab Emirates (UAE) recorded its highest ever rainfall so far in its meteorological history. The rainfall has caused severe flooding all over Dubai and hindered operations everywhere. According to the reports, the single day rainfall in 24 hours has equalled to almost 1.5 years of rainfall in the region and it caused upto 5 inches of inundation in the area.
Operations were also suspended for a period of time in the Dubai Airport and several flights were also suspended citing security and operative reasons. Meanwhile, schooling and working has once again shifted to online spaces causing disruptions in the offline world.
While some claim it to be a man-made disaster, it is also being said that global warming might also have impacted the rains.
