A gunman armed with an AR-15-style rifle fatally shot five individuals in a Texas residence, in what has been described as an “execution-style” attack. The victims included three females and two males, one of whom was an eight-year-old boy. Two of the female victims were found in a bedroom lying on top of two surviving children.

The shooting transpired after neighbors confronted the suspect and asked him to stop firing his gun in his front yard because a baby was trying to sleep.

According to reports, the suspect refused and said, “I will do what I want to in my front yard.”

The altercation quickly escalated to a shooting, and the suspect fled the scene. Police have identified the suspect as Francisco Oropeza, 39, and have issued an arrest warrant with a $5 million bond. The incident occurred at 11:31 pm on Friday in Cleveland, a town 55 miles away from Houston. The police have also found .223 shell casings in the front yard where the suspect had been shooting earlier.
