Following nationwide acclaim with his blockbuster Karthikeya 2, actor Nikhil Siddhartha is gearing up for his ambitious 20th film, Swayambhu—a grand historical action drama. Directed by debutant Bharat Krishnamachari and produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the Pixel Studios banner, with presentation by Tagore Madhu, the film has wrapped up its intense two-year shoot across 170 days.
Celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage, Swayambhu explores untold stories of a mighty warrior who shaped an era beyond traditional chronicles of kings and battles. The film aims for an epic scale with sprawling sets, massive crowd scenes, and a richly crafted world.
Nikhil has undergone rigorous physical training and transformation for the role, even dubbing his own voice for the Hindi version to maintain authenticity. The film stars Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh in prominent roles. Technical excellence is ensured with KK Senthil Kumar as cinematographer, Ravi Basrur delivering the powerful musical score, and M. Prabhaharan and Raveendra heading production design.
With the shoot completed and post-production underway, Swayambhu is slated for release worldwide on February 13, 2026, coinciding with the auspicious celebration of Maha Shivaratri, promising to be one of the year’s most spectacular Pan-India releases.
