Writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna hailed the book "Tarakarama," edited by Bhagiratha and published by the NTR Committee, as the modern Bhagavad Gita, a must-have in every Telugu household.
A review and discussion of "Tarakarama," compiled from interviews of N.T. Rama Rao with various magazines, took place at the Film Nagar Cultural Center on Saturday.
Dr. Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, President of the Writers' Association, praised Bhagiratha for the commendable effort of compiling NTR's interviews. He emphasized that NTR's thoughts and perspectives, as presented in the book, would serve as a guide not only for the present generation but also for future generations, making "Tarakarama" an essential read for every household.
Jonnavithula, another prominent writer, highlighted NTR's clarity of thought and his uncompromising nature both as an actor and an individual. He stated that "Tarakarama" reflects NTR's personality and is a must-read for those in the film industry and those aspiring to join it.
Writer Biram Sundara Rao lauded NTR as a legendary artist whose portrayals are unmatched and irreplaceable. He described "Tarakarama" as a rare and unique book that reflects NTR's inner world.
Actor and director Kasinathuni Viswanath praised the effort of bringing NTR's interviews together in the form of "Tarakarama." He believes the book will be a valuable resource for research for future generations. He also commended Bhagiratha for his work on the book.
Writer Bikki Krishna described "Tarakarama" as a research-oriented book and acknowledged Bhagiratha's significant effort in compiling it. He believes that the book deserves the Jnanpith Award.
T.D. Janardhan, Chairman of the NTR Committee, expressed his satisfaction with the response to "Tarakarama," which offers insights into NTR's inner world. He credited Bhagiratha for the idea and the effort behind the book.
Bhagiratha, the editor of the book, shared that the overwhelming response to "Tarakarama" has made them forget all the hard work they put into it. He expressed his desire to present NTR to future generations through this book.
The meeting also saw participation from director Veera Shankar and artist Dakoju Sivaprasad. Gummadi Gopalakrishna, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Nataka Academy, presided over the event, and Doppalapudi Rama Mohana Rao, a member of the NTR Committee, delivered the vote of thanks.
