A compelling documentary project titled Discover Andhra, spearheaded by actor Sai Durga Tej and Navadeep Pallapolli, has been unveiled with backing from the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Directed by Srikanth Mannepuri, the film is produced by Padala Surender Reddy and Sravya Koonam. The event marked a grand launch of the title and first glimpse, attended by notable industry figures.
Sai Durga Tej’s Keynote
Sai Durga Tej expressed deep appreciation for director Srikanth’s effort in highlighting Andhra Pradesh’s hidden natural treasures. He shared his 2020 pivot toward wildlife conservation through his NGO Green Pass, focusing on beach cleanups and protecting coastal ecosystems. Referencing his film Republic’s environmental theme, he urged audiences to preserve both culture and nature, extending best wishes to the team and music director Mani Sharma.
Navadeep’s Insights
Navadeep recounted supporting Srikanth since 2014, when the director began documenting Andhra’s wildlife. He described being awe-struck by the footage and a personal forest experience that renewed his perspective on co-existing with nature. Navadeep credited Sai Durga Tej for connecting with Pawan Kalyan to secure support, predicting the 72-minute documentary will instill pride in Telugu viewers by revealing the state’s stunning biodiversity.
Director Srikanth Mannepuri’s Vision
Srikanth revealed his post-graduation research into local wildlife, noting Andhra Pradesh’s overlooked natural riches discovered during Forest Department volunteering. His mission is to redefine ‘wildlife’ as synonymous with Andhra, with the upcoming trailer set to captivate audiences. He thanked Pawan Kalyan, Navadeep, Sai Durga Tej, and Mani Sharma for their pivotal roles in bringing the project to light.
